Photo Composition

The first photo is about simplicity. Your eye focuses on the boat and nothing else in the picture takes away from the quality. It is a good example of of simplicity and it was posted in .jpeg format.

The second photo is an example of framing. It shows a natural way of using mountains to frame the water and mountains in the distance. This photo was posted in .jpeg format.

The third image is an example of leading lines. The lines are the main component of the photo and what catch your eye. This photo was posted in .jpeg format.

Graphic Design Examples

I have included two examples of graphic design ads. The first is an example of horizontal symmetry using a Nike ad. I think this ad works great with this design following the rules of horizontal symmetry. Both sides of the ad are identical and if you fold the ad together the design would match up. This ad has a good amount of balance and proportion.

The second ad comes from Apple. This is a great example of progressive rhythm. Your eye first starts at the phone, moves down the hand and back to the phone. Using progressive rhythm with this ad makes sure the consumer catches all aspects of what the company wants you to see. In this case that is the phone is fully interactive with a touch screen and possibly easy to use.
